£1.6 million has been raised through new building developments across Kingston.

The money has come from 42 projects over the last two years as part of the council’s Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy.

Developers who wish to build in the borough have to contribute a certain amount of cash to the fund.

£600,000 of the money raised has gone into parks while more than £250,000 has been poured into biodiversity projects.
