A man from Worcester Park has been fined almost £2,000 for failing to register his boat on the River Thames.

Tom Rhima pleaded guilty to charges at Staines Magistrates Court after a prosecution brought by the Environment Agency.

He was ordered to pay almost £1,900, equal to the annual boat registration fee that should have been paid for 2023.

Owners of all types of boats must register their boats with the Environment Agency for use on the non-tidal River Thames.
