Chertsey’s two-time Olympic cycling champion Katie Archibald has been ruled out of this summer’s games.

It comes after breaking her leg by tripping over a step in her garden.

She says she’s had successful surgery following the freak accident.

Archibald won gold for Team GB in the women’s team pursuit at Rio 2016 and took first place in the madison at Tokyo 2020.
