It’s claimed secondary school pupils are reading at the same level as primary school students.

There’s new research from the ‘What Kids Are Reading Report’ by Renaissance and GL Assessment who are based in Brentford.

They found that children in the UK and Ireland are reading 4-point-4 percent fewer books this year than last.

Outside of the pandemic, it’s the first time there’s been a decline since 2008.
