Singapore Airlines says it is tightening its safety controls during turbulence, after the death of a British man on a flight from Heathrow to Singapore earlier this week.

48 people are still in hospital, as passengers were thrown from their seats over Bangkok.

The airline says from now on, when the seatbelt sign’s on, meal and hot drink services will be paused and staff will also have to strap in.
