More than 20 nurses are to join South East Coast Ambulance Service following an international recruitment campaign.

They will work alongside paramedics to provide clinical advice to patients in the 999 and NHS 111 operations centres.

The ambulance service operates across Surrey, Kent and Sussex.

The 23 nurses are coming from Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, Ghana and Zimbabwe.
