The owner of Aer Lingus and Heathrow based British Airways and says its seen earnings increase thanks to higher sales and lower fuel costs.

International Airlines Group reported an operating profit for the first quarter of 2024 of around £58-million.

That’s up from nearly £8 million this time last year.

It’s says there’s been a demand for travel between major European cities, particularly for leisure, although it’s slowed for business.
