British weapons maker BAE systems says it expects a sales jump thanks to a government commitment on defence spending.

The firm, which has bases in New Malden and Farnham, predicts earnings will grow by between 11 and 13% this year.

Ministers say 2.5% of GDP will be ringfenced for the defence budget by 2030.
