Chelsea houseboat owners are “thrilled” after the local council backed their fight against the introduction of ‘apartment boats’.

Residents along Chelsea Reach have been engaged in a seven-year battle with the owners of the site.

However, they warned they have “won the battle, we haven’t won the war”.

They claim the value of their assets, and the idyllic community they belong to, are under threat.
