Storm Pia is causing significant disruption across much of the UK with trains cancelled and electrical engineers on standby.

British Airways has apologised after grounding dozens of domestic and European flights.

The airline grounded two dozen domestic and European flights to and from Heathrow, including multiple links to and from Amsterdam.

A spokesperson says: “we have made some adjustments to our schedule with as much notice as possible for our customers.”
