The 59 year old mobile coffee shop near Kingston Bridge is run by barista George, who set it up during lockdown.
The damage to the van means he has had to stop trading until parts can be found at a cost of £3,000.
Fans of the truck have now set up a GoFund me page which has so far raised over £2,000.
George says, “since we started trading there, a real community has sprung up, it has become a meeting point for people of all walks of life and all ages. I see friendships form everyday, it’s more than just me and my van.
Some of my regular customers have put this GoFundMe page up to help us get the van sorted and trading again.
Argonaut Coffee is our only income, my partner is a full time carer for our daughter and this incident could ruin us.”
