On Sunday night, officers tracked a speeding car onto Royal Holloway campus.
When it parked up, they found a 20-year-old man, still sat inside acting suspicious.
He tested positive for cannabis and was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit.
He has been released under investigation.
