Wandsworth Council’s leader says a rise in the levy charged by Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators is inflation busting.

Simon Hogg says the 25% increase, paid by 28,000 residents in his borough, is unacceptable.

He’s written to the Government in the hope it will block the raise.
