Royal Parks says Myxomatosis, which cannot be passed to humans or other animals, is endemic in the wild.
The charity says there is no cure and although infected animals are being removed, they are trying to let nature “run its course.”
People are being asked not to touch any of the park’s rabbits or try and pick them up.
