Figures from the council show that 76% of students in the borough achieved at least a ‘standard’ pass grade in GCSE English and maths.
This is well above the provisional national average of 66%.
57% of Merton’s pupils also secured a ‘strong’ pass rate of 5 to 9 compared with 49% nationally.
