At around 4.55pm on Sunday, the 16th of July, the victim left a train at East Croydon station with her husband and daughter.
A man left the same train and jogged along platform 4 to catch up the victim. Once walking side by side with her, he pushed the victim over into a Perspex shelter window.
He then left the station on a train to Hastings via Kent.
The victim was left with a fractured cheek bone, a deep cut to her chin, and bruising to the face.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help with their investigation.
