British tennis number one Cameron Norrie, from Putney, has been knocked out of the Cincinnati Open tennis, ending the country’s hopes of singles success at the tournament.

He took the first set against Frenchman Gael Monfils  who battled back to progress.

Norrie’s defeat came just hours after Dan Evans had been beaten by Lorenzo Musetti at the rain-affected tournament.
