The authority says there are almost 4,000 children in the borough living in poverty

That’s despite the fact it’s home to traditionally wealthy areas incusing Esher and Cobham.

people are being told that £12 could pay for a child’s school meals and £100 could pay for a weekly food shop for a hard pressed family.
