The driver’s bronze-coloured Toyota collided with a Yamaha motorbike outside the Trident petrol station around 5pm yesterday.
He’s also been charged with failing to stop and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs and remains in police custody.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact the police on 101.
