The council says it still plans to deliver an 8 lane swimming pool despite having to scale back plans because of the cost of living crisis.
The development has been controversial as some residents say the old pool should not be knocked down, but simply replaced.
The council says it aims to share the revised building design for consultation next year and begin building in 2025.
