Prince William’s opened the new Oak Cancer research and treatment Centre at the Royal Marsden in Sutton.

The Prince of Wales has been President of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for 16 years.

The facility will help accelerate the development of new treatments offering hope for cancer patients worldwide.

It comes on the day figures reveal a worsening of NHS waiting times in England.
