The council says the money will be used to update outside spaces including those on housing estates.
As well as introducing new, modern play equipment, the work also includes replacing Ravenscourt Park’s paddling pool.
Councillors committed to spending a further £1.1million on the borough’s green spaces between 2025 and 2027 earlier this year.
