180 homes across Mole Valley have been empty for more than 6 months, with 15 vacant for over 5 years.

That’s according to the District Council which is looking at new ways to make sure properties are being utilised.

Councillors say they are considering an updated Empty Homes Policy amid the backdrop of a national and affordable housing shortage.

In the meantime, residents who think they know a property that is lying vacant are being urged to report it to the council.
